Honestly, my tastes are for cars like the Lexus s400 or 430, bmw e30, such classic, beautiful things that can be modified, but I also want something that is reliable or that at least does not always have problems. I don't like civics very much or corollas, although I accept that they are very good cars but they are not my tastes.

It wouldn't work, I'm afraid. The design of modern cars follow trends, trends set by focus groups and polls, included in these are 'throwback' designs. You'd also lose a lot of modern benefits against your modern models. Something E30 shaped today would get terrible economy.

Even though i have to say that the mercedes m102 sounds a little bit better. A m102 16v w201 with bmw e30 or e36 getrag transmission is more or less the only mercedes i would ever consider buying. The real problem i have with this, is the fact that the orignal engine looks really good and if you want something dispossible the m42 is also an option.
