It feels very stable in low speed maneuvers and travels well on the highway. Wind doesn't seem to affect it very much at high speeds considering it's size.

The manual says the maximum weight capacity is 370 pounds (rider, passenger, cargo and accessories) Now, I take up a pretty good chunk of that weight all by myself (I am 300 pounds) Now if I put my honey on back we are over the limit.

A bobber will likely be somewhat lighter, but it's still heavier and more horsepower than I'd personally recommend. the SS750 will have no problem going 70-75 2 up on flat hard surfaces, providing it is properly maintained. I've driven mine, alone, at 90-95 with no problems and at 75 2 up with no problems. The only problem with the speed is my wife doesn't like us to go that fast so we usually cruise 55-65 on back roads. Reply Like.

Safe engine top speed. I have a 2004 Honda shadow Aero 750. I have a stretch of country road that I take to go to work. Its about 25 miles long with some great curves and hills. I have kept my speed to about 60mph. I would just love to take my Shadow to about 75mph for this 25 mile stretch.

He'll be using the bike almost entirely for commuting. Both bikes are 2005, and comparably priced. The Suzuki has 24,000 miles whereas the Honda has only 12,000. Both look to be in very good shape. In addition to the boulevard S-40 and Vulcan 500, I am curious about the shadow 750 and the vulcan 750 as options for a newbie. IG lists them as “beginner friendly”. I’m curious of anybody has any first-hand experience with either of these bikes. I think a lot of people will say that a 750 for a beginner bike is not optimal due to many

Weight Limits and CCs This reply is about a year too late, but I found this thread by searching for weight limits. Here is my experience. 2009 was my first year of riding. I'm a woman, weigh 295 at 5 feet, 10 inches. I opted for a cheap 83 Honda Shadow VT500 for my first bike knowing I would have to upgrade.

Skeeter. Just sold my wife’s 750 Shadow to purchase a Kawa 900 Classic LT and the difference between the two is like night versus day. The 900 is far superior to the Shadow with smoother performance, ride and overall appearance IMO. The Shadow just seems like a much smaller bike and I always feel like my knees are going to drag the ground
